RUBÉN MUEDRA TEACHES A METAVERSE CLASS AT IED MADRID

Rubén Muedra taught a class at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid, within the Metaverse Business Project Master, in November 2023. The session, together with Metavarch, shared his experience in architecture for the metaverse.

The class covered the evolution of the metaverse, the notion of presence in virtual reality and the architect’s role in immersive spaces, with Metavarch projects as case studies.

Against the lure of novelty, the studio argued that the principles of good architecture —scale, light, path— remain valid in virtual space too.
