Architects in La Eliana
We design single-family houses in La Eliana, one of the residential towns with the highest income and quality of life in the Camp de Túria, with more than nine thousand houses among pines fifteen minutes from Valencia. We support every project from the first meeting to the handover.
La Eliana: "your work in the city, your rest in La Eliana"
La Eliana is a residential town in the Camp de Túria, in the second metropolitan ring of Valencia, on the bank of the Turia. It grew around the old Masía de Eliana and the palace of the Marqués de Casa Ramos (1847), became an independent municipality in 1958 and expanded in the 1960s with a slogan that defined it: "your work in the city, your rest in La Eliana".
Today it brings together more than nine thousand houses across some twenty urbanisations —Montealegre, Montesol and others—, with barely half a hundred hectares of farmland: a practically residential, quiet and family town. Its quality of life places it among the highest-income in the Valencian Community, with amenities such as the Parque de la Pinada and three Metrovalencia stations.
The area is almost flat, with gentle undulations no higher than two hundred metres. The plot with a garden is the basic unit: we orient the living spaces south, protect from the western sun and arrange the house to gain sunlight and privacy from the street, keeping the trees where they exist.
We do not propose ready-made imagery. Every project starts from a reading of the plot and of how its owners want to live, and is ordered through La Eliana’s planning —setbacks, heights, occupation— and the conditions of each urbanisation, to reach permit and site without surprises.
What we resolve in La Eliana
We design the house from the plot: brief, orientation, light, circulation and materiality. A single idea holds each project, from concept and permit to the construction documents.
A careful study of the existing condition, a structural review and a proposal coherent with what is worth keeping. A full refurbishment demands the same rigour as new construction.
The interior is designed together with the architecture: joinery, bespoke furniture, lighting and materials are part of the same set of decisions.
We support the works to the built result: project and execution management, safety coordination and close collaboration with the builder. What is drawn well is built well.
We work with passive criteria and Passivhaus certification, renewable energy and rational decisions for a healthy and economically coherent architecture, with BIM methodology and permit and budget tracking.
How we work on every project
A structure of precision
Rubén Muedra Arquitectura is a studio founded in 2010, based in Valencia with a presence in Madrid, Ibiza and the Costa Blanca. Design, development, technical, visualisation, construction, structures and technology share a single working logic: turning talent into a common culture of precision.
Recent projects
Before we start
Between 18 and 30 months from commission to handover: 8-12 months of design and permits, and 14-20 of construction.
Yes. We design across the whole municipality and its urbanisations (Montealegre, Montesol and others), knowing La Eliana’s planning and the conditions of each area.
La Eliana’s municipal planning (setbacks, heights, occupation and buildability), together with the particular conditions of each urbanisation. We verify it plot by plot.
Yes. Project management, execution management and safety coordination. Quality is decided as much on site as on the drawings.
Yes, with certified experience in passive criteria and Passivhaus, renewable energy and rational solutions for a healthy, efficient home.
Both. Many houses in La Eliana date from the 1970s-80s; refurbishing them demands the same rigour as new construction: study of the existing condition, structural review and a coherent proposal.
Let’s talk about your home in La Eliana
A first meeting, with no commitment, to understand your plot and your priorities. From there, we decide together how to approach the project.
