Hada House
A single floor. A garden all around.
Casa Hada occupies a generous 2,097 m² plot in Torrent (Valencia), within a consolidated, low-density area of single-family houses. The proposal begins from a clear decision: to organise the entire programme on one single floor and let the rest of the plot remain as garden. The house covers barely 25% of the site; the remaining 1,500 m² surround the built volume in horizontality and silence.
The ground floor is laid out with clean geometry and a deliberately asymmetric layout that separates day and night areas. Study, kitchen and living-dining room open onto the porch and the swimming pool; the three bedrooms —one main suite with dressing room and en-suite bathroom, two secondary bedrooms sharing a bathroom— are placed on the opposite façade to preserve privacy. Garage and outbuilding close the composition without disturbing the dominant horizontal plane.
The palette is built from restraint. White smoothed monolayer render across the entire envelope, aluminium frames with thermal break, porcelain stoneware that continues from interior to exterior with no visible joint. Inside, matt white walls, flat suspended ceilings and natural wood joinery sustain a contemporary atmosphere with no gestures.
The main façade looks out at the garden. Deep porches, terrace and pool articulate a single continuous horizontal plane, and the Mediterranean light of Torrent crosses the whole at every hour of the day without resistance, modelling volumes and vegetation in equal measure. Courtyard and porches set up that in-between space where the house ends and the landscape begins.
Casa Hada does not seek to impose itself on the site. Its merit lies in accepting the generosity of the garden, organising the programme along one single line, and returning to the client a home where landscape, light and matter coexist without hierarchies.

The project memory identifies the following construction solutions: termoarcilla BT-14 façade with internal 80 mm rock-wool lining and finished in white smoothed monolayer render; flat roofs with XPS 10+10 cm; porcelain stoneware paving continuous from interior to exterior; aluminium exterior carpentry with thermal break; DHW by aerothermal heat pump with thermal solar back-up.
